SPRING 2026BBRoc Basketball is one of New York City’s most engaging youth basketball programs, designed to introduce children to the fundamentals of the game in a fun, supportive, and high-energy environment. Our goal is to help kids stay physically active, build confidence, develop coordination, and learn important social skills all while discovering a love for basketball.We teach multiple classes across parks, playgrounds, gyms, schools, and community spaces throughout Manhattan, Our classes are carefully structured to be age-appropriate, progressive, and engaging, ensuring that every child whether it’s their first time touching a basketball or they’re ready to refine their skills feels successful and motivated.For our youngest players (ages 2 to 3 years old), classes are offered in a GROWN-UP & ME format if needed. A parent, caregiver, or grandparent joins the child on the court, helping them explore movement, dribbling, passing, and shooting through playful activities and games. As children grow into the 3–4 year-old age range, they transition into independent play, building confidence and learning to follow simple instructions on their own.We take pride in placing each child in the group that best fits their age, development, and comfort level. Parent feedback is always welcome, and we make thoughtful adjustments when needed to ensure every child gets the most out of their experience.At BBRoc, our coaches are carefully selected and trained to deliver high-energy, positive, and FUN basketball classes. Sessions focus on movement, teamwork, listening skills, and foundational basketball techniques without pressure or competition. Coach Mo is the Director and Head Coach of BBRoc Basketball, leading the program with passion, purpose, and a deep belief in the power of sport to positively shape young lives. He brings a lifelong love for basketball and youth development into every class, creating an environment where children feel supported, confident, and excited to learn.

From his earliest days on the court, Coach Mo was drawn to the rhythm, movement, and teamwork of the game. Basketball taught him the value of discipline, communication, and perseverance lessons that continue to guide his coaching philosophy today. He places equal importance on skill development and personal growth, helping young athletes build confidence both on and off the court.

Coach Mo’s approach focuses on making basketball fun and engaging for children of all experience levels. He breaks down fundamentals into simple, age-appropriate activities that keep kids active, learning, and smiling. Each session is designed to help players feel successful while steadily improving coordination, ball control, and overall game awareness.

As both a leader and hands-on coach, Coach Mo plays a key role in creating positive first experiences with the game. His goal is simple: to help children fall in love with basketball while developing skills, confidence, and habits that last far beyond the court. 🏀
