Ricardo Echevarria

Coach

Favorite soccer team: Estudiantes de La Plata

⏱️ How long have you been coaching and/or playing: I have been playing soccer since age 3 and have 10 years of experience coaching children.

❤️ What do you love most about coaching kids?: I enjoy working with children because I’m passionate about teaching teamwork and discipline, while helping them develop their soccer skills in a fun and supportive environment.

🎉 A fun fact about you (soccer-related or not): As the son of Ricardo Echevarría, I want to remember him as the Physical Trainer of the Argentine national soccer team from 1983 to 1994, and a key figure in preparing the squad that won the 1986 FIFA World Cup.

He had the privilege of training great players like Diego Maradona, Diego Simeone, and Gabriel Batistuta, among many others.

During his time, Argentina also finished as runner-up in the 1990 FIFA World Cup and won Copa América titles, marking one of the most successful eras in the country’s soccer history.

But beyond his achievements, he was deeply respected and truly loved by all the players. His legacy is not only professional, but human—and it continues to inspire me today as a soccer coach in the United States.
