SocRoc Soccer for Kids is pleased to launch its Kids With Disabilities Classes
in Murray Hill at
St. Vartan’s Park (1st Avenue &, E 35th St, New York, NY 10016). 

The first session will run Saturdays, September 10 - November 19 under the personal guidance of SocRoc founder and former professional soccer player James Christie. Students will work with James and/or another head coach certified who has been certified as a Special Olympics Developmental Sports Coach in a 2:1 ratio. James has an extensive background in working with children who have disabilities, initially engaged as a consultant for SNACKNYC and then expanding his experience to include private coaching for kids with disabilities. He believes children of all abilities love soccer and his mission to make soccer and fitness fun for everyone. 

Classes will inlcude age-appropriate physicial fitness exercises and graduated soccer skill drills. Each session is forty-five minutes and the classes are broken into the following age groups: 3-5 year olds, 5-8 year olds, and 8-12 year olds. Each session is $75 with a two student minimum when students sign up for the entire eleven week semester. One-on-one private training is available for $150/session.
